Kim Kardashian’s girlfriend Allison Statter explains why she loves Taylor Swift

“I hate to say this, but sometimes I put on Taylor Swift too,” said Statter, 44, when asked on the Tuesday, July 9 episode of the “9 to 5ish With theSkimm” podcast what style of music she likes to listen to to get in the mood. “The thing is, she’s probably one of the greatest, if not the greatest, songwriters of our generation musically.”

Statter said it wasn’t just Swift’s catchy beats that she loved, but also the deeper meaning behind her music that really touched her.

“Her music is so amazing to me,” Statter gushed. “Her morals and the things she stands for in terms of female empowerment and friendship and things like that are very difficult for me.”

Statter admitted that in addition to Swift, she also Harry StylesVampire weekend, Katy Perry And John Mayer on their daily playlist.

“I’m kind of in the female pop world and that kind of cool country folk vibe,” she explained.

Statter recalled a time when she and Kardashian, 43, went to a Madonna concert in Los Angeles as children. The marketing CEO said she and Kim were accompanied by their mother, Kris Jennerand sister Kourtney Kardashian.

Statter and Kim have been friends for a long time, having grown up together in Southern California, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years, as Statter has accompanied Kim to various events over the years.

“From a friendship perspective, she is simply an extremely loyal and trustworthy friend,” Statter said of the Kardashian Star on Tuesday. “I’m very lucky for her.”

However, Swifties know all too well that Kim and Swift don’t have the best relationship. The women have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years. The feud began in 2016 when Kim posted recordings of a phone conversation between her ex-husband Kanye West and Swift talks about his song “Famous.” Kim added a series of snake emojis to the post.

After the drama, Swift withdrew from the public eye, but returned a year later when she appeared in her Call era. Kim later explained that she had “put her drama with Swift behind her.”

However, Swift has deleted the track “thanK you aIMee” from her 2024 album The “Tortured Poets” section. It has been speculated that the song is about the reality star, as the capital letters spell out the word “KIM” and it is about a fictional bully named Aimee.
