Ryan Reynolds’ favorite Taylor Swift song probably won’t shock fans

Never getting that answer right? Maybe for Hugh Jackman!

At an interview for diversity, Deadpool and Wolverine Co-Stars Ryan Reynolds and Jackman and her director Shawn Levy were confronted with various questions to test how well they know each other. Of course, with Reynolds the topic is Taylor Swift originated.

The trio were asked what Reynolds’ favorite Taylor Swift song was – and while his answer probably won’t surprise Swifties, it wasn’t the one Jackman was expecting.

The X-Men Alum was sure Reynolds’ top choice was “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” as the actor apparently shouted it “word for word” in Jackman’s face on the last day of shooting Deadpool and Wolverinewill be released on July 26. Levy guessed “Stunning,” but neither man was right.

Instead, the father of four said his favorite was “Betty” from Swift’s 2020 album, folklore. It is a fitting choice considering that Swift used his and his wife’s names Blake Lively‘s three children born at that time — James, Inez and Betty — in their texts. The couple is said to welcomed their fourth child in 2023, whose name was not disclosed. As he joked in an interview in May on Today with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb“We’re always waiting for Taylor to tell us what the baby’s name is going to be… We’re still waiting, so, Taylor, maybe let’s get started, you know.”

Reynolds added: “She’s a prolific writer. I mean, what are we doing here? And lazy is not a word I would associate with Taylor.”

While the actor is a long-time friend of the world-famous singer, calls himself Swift’s biggest fan.

“No, no, I really am,” said the It ends with us Actress told ET in June. Lively even helped secure Swift’s 2020 track “My Tears Ricochet.” for the trailer for the advertisement the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s successful romance novel, which is scheduled to hit theaters on August 9

“You could have put on any song, her music is just unmatched,” Lively raved about Swift’s discography. “Her lyrics are so beautiful and so personal and you feel that, you feel that in the way she sings. You feel that in her lyrics.”

You don’t need to listen to Inez’s rumors—you have Lively and legions of Swifties to vouch for Swift’s musical prowess… and Reynolds to sing along.
