“Simpsons” actress Nancy Cartwright praises niece Sabrina Carpenter

A TikTok post by long-time Simpsons The well-known actress has kept the pop star’s growing audience updated about their family connection

The recent influx of the fans who have become familiar with Sabrina Carpenter in pop music since “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” are not yet fully up to date with her story. In a recent TikTok post The simpsons Voice actress Nancy Cartwright helps them get up to speed on family matters. “The rumors are true,” wrote the actress, who has been voicing Bart Simpson since the 1980s, on the video app. “Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”

Cartwright shared the caption under a video in response to a fan’s comment asking about their connection. “Isn’t that incredible?” she replied. “You may have known me for a while, I’ve been doing this little 10-year-old boy voice for about 35 years and some of you for a lot less – and find out I’m related to this superstar. It’s pretty incredible.”

The video has more than 60,000 likes and over 600 comments, most of which are from fans who are completely overwhelmed by the revelation. But Carpenter has spoken publicly about the niche Hollywood connection since 2021. “I’m a legend in terms of the relationship, too,” she joked to Capital FM this year. “I have to say, that was the coolest thing in the world for me in my entire life. I wasn’t actually allowed to see the show until I was a bit older. But the woman is a woman of many talents, not just Bart. She never ceases to amaze me.”

Carpenter continued, “It was always really cool when I was growing up when she would just put on the Bart voice when we were at a restaurant. She didn’t do it all the time, but there were a few times when we couldn’t get a table and she would say, ‘Hey man, I’m Bart Simpson. What the hell is going on?'”

The pop musician is more famous in her own right than her aunt, so it’s unlikely she’ll ever have to put on an extra effort or put on a role to get a reservation. Next month, Carpenter will release her latest studio album. Short and sweet“My mom asked me, ‘Are you feeling crazy right now?'” Carpenter said recently Rolling Stone about becoming so famous this year. “I just love that people understand my sense of humor.”
