Braxe + Falcon recruit Bibio for new song “All This Love”

Braxe + Falcon – the French electronic duo of cousins Alan Braxe and DJ Falcon – have teamed up with Bibio for a new song called “All This Love.” Listen to it below.

“In 2023, I received a remix request from Warp Records for a beautiful song called ‘SOL’ by Bibio feat. Olivier St. Louis,” Braxe explained in a statement. “Bibio was happy with my remix and after that we started talking about music in general and music equipment until we felt it would be a lot of fun to make an original track together. So I sent him a very simple demo that DJ Falcon and I had made and from there we started building the song remotely – in fact, we have never met him in person until now. We chose addiction as the theme of the song; it is not specified whether it is addiction to substances or a relationship, it is more about the inner struggle to recover from such situations.”

“I first discovered Alan Braxe and DJ Falcon in the late 90s when they released music on Roulé,” added Bibio. “Their music was part of the soundtrack of my youth and also an inspiration for me as a budding producer. Music like theirs proved that sometimes less is more and that the recipe can be simple if you have the right ingredients and know how to use them. After they sent me a demo, I recorded parts on guitar, bass guitar and keyboard and we sent files back and forth to each other. For example, I would play a bass line, they would tweak it and send it back, I would learn the tweaked bass line and replay it on the bass guitar to make it sound live. It was a new way of working for me which made everything feel fresh. Alan gave me a theme for the lyrics but I wrote them so they could be interpreted in different ways, which is something I enjoy about lyrics. We wanted the song to sound bittersweet but hopeful – the chords move between opposing emotions, so I wanted the meaning behind the words to match that.”

Braxe + Falcon returned in 2022 with the step by step EP.
