It turns out that Sabrina Carpenter isn’t the only famous voice in her family.

The 25-year-old “Espresso” singer is actually related to Emmy-winning actress Nancy Cartwright, 66, who is best known for her voice role as Bart Simpson in The simpsons.

Cartwright shared the surprising news while answering fan questions on TikTok.

When Cartwright read aloud one of the questions about whether Carpenter was her niece, she exclaimed, “Yes, absolutely!”

“Isn’t it incredible to find out that someone you’ve known for a while, who’s known this little 10-year-old boy for 35 years, and some of you a lot less – finds out that I’m related to this superstar?” she said. “It’s pretty incredible.”

In the video’s caption, Cartwright added, “The rumors are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”

Several fans reacted with shock to the revelation. One wrote in the comments: “As a fan of The simpsons and I love Sabrina Carpenter, it’s so cool to find out.”

“Sabrina Carpenter is related to Bart Simpson, ay, caramba,” added a second, referring to Bart Simpson’s famous hit.

“But why does it make sense that Sabrina is related to Bart Simpson?” asked a third. “It really is a family setting.”

A fourth claimed that Cartwright was actually the “superstar” and called her “the voice of my generation.”

“Talent runs in the family,” applauded another.

Cartwright has been the voice of the eldest Simpson child since he first appeared in a series of short films in 1987. The Tracey Ullman Show.

She also lent her voice to the talking naked mole rat Rufus in Disney’s popular animated series. Kim Possiblewhich ran from 2002 to 2007.

Carpenter also has roots in Disney. Before she achieved worldwide fame with her music, she made a name for herself as co-host of the three-season Disney Channel sitcom Life and I from 2014 to 2016.

She has continued to act and was most recently seen in the 2019 Netflix romantic comedy. Big girl and its sequel in 2022, Big Girl 2Carey Williams’ 2022 thriller Emergency and Justin Baldoni’s love musical Clouds (2020).

In September of this year, Carpenter will begin her 29-date Short n’ Sweet tour of North America. The tour will support her new album. Short and sweet Album, released on August 23rd.

The “Feather” singer will stop in major US cities, including Boston (Massachusetts), Raleigh (North Carolina), Tampa (Florida) and San Diego (California) before ending her tour in Los Angeles (California) on November 15.
