Packers Christian Watson has a lot of fantasy football value

Who is the Green Bay Packers’ most valuable player as we prepare for the fantasy football season? It could be wide receiver Christian Watson.

With new fantasy football leagues starting up in the next few weeks before the NFL really gets going, owners are trying to figure out which teams have the best chances for their teams. One of the teams owners will be keeping an eye on is the Green Bay Packers.

Due to the emergence of Jordan Love in 2023, the Packers could be one of the best offenses in the league in 2024. That being said, high-scoring offenses are very valuable in fantasy football, and people will be trying to find weapons against the Packers.

Recently, Bleacher Report talked about who the Packers’ top pick in fantasy was. Their choice was wide receiver Christian Watson. Here’s what they had to say.

WR Christian Watson (ADP: WR44)

When healthy, Watson has shown real fantasy WR1 potential, although hamstring injuries have cost him 11 games in two seasons. Watson has reportedly spent the offseason training to avoid a repeat of those injuries in 2024. If he can stay on the field, Watson will easily outperform his eighth-round price.

For an 8th Christian Watson, a first-round draft pick, has tremendous value with the Packers’ upside entering the season. Injuries certainly slowed Watson in his first two seasons in the league, but he was able to score 12 total touchdowns in 23 games played.

If Watson stays healthy, he could easily score double-digit touchdowns with the Packers’ expected offense in 2024. Given injury concerns, Watson could become a top-50 fantasy player if he can stay on the field, but that’s a big if.

The Packers and potential fantasy owners can only hope that Watson will have a successful breakout year.
