Wrestling legend reveals Taylor Swift used to babysit his daughters

Taylor Swift wears a lot of different hats. You’d think her gigantic rise in the country and pop music industry would keep her hands full. But there was a time when Taylor also worked as a babysitter. That’s true, she may have belted out her biggest hits while taking care of the kids. Plus, she doesn’t help every stranger. She has connections in the wrestling industry that you may not know about.

Recently, wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett appears for an interview on a local news show. He’s promoting an upcoming AEW event he’s working at and spends time reviewing tape of his illustrious career. During the interview, he gets the chance to reveal a piece of information that not many people know or remember. Taylor Swift is practically an honorary member of Jeff Jarrett’s family when she acts as a babysitter for his three girls.

Jarrett’s wife, Jill Gregory, battled breast cancer in the mid-2000s. Working at wrestling shows and caring for his wife’s illness, Jarrett desperately needed help around the house. Enter Swift, who is a ray of hope for his daughters. “Taylor was like a big sister,” Jarrett emphasizes. “She came over, took the girls to bake cookies and just hung out at our house. I can’t say enough good things about Taylor.”

Jarrett’s wife dies in May 2007. Sadness spreads through the house, but Taylor Swift remains a shining example, especially for the grieving daughters. And it’s more than just passive affection for the household. Swift puts Jaclyn, one of his daughters, in the spotlight and calls her herself, including her. “The ‘Mine’ video is so creative and my daughter Jaclyn looked like a little Taylor,” Jeff recalls. “Taylor, as brave as ever, just said, ‘I want Jaclyn in the video.'”

Additionally, Jeff Jarrett praises Taylor Swift throughout the interview. He loves following her journey as she navigates all the noise in her music and her relationship with Travis Kelce. He can’t help but rave about Swift’s ability to keep a cool head in the midst of it all. “Not only is she extremely creative as an artist, but she also thinks like a businesswoman,” Jarrett explains. “It’s rare to see those two skills combined. She deserves all the success she’s having.”

Rest assured, Jarrett also says their connection was never financial. Her kindness to the family comes from the heart. “I can tell you right now, she was never on Jeff Jarrett’s payroll,” he says. “So technically she wasn’t a babysitter.”
