FEBO Vintage Rare Inc. is hosting a National John Lewis Day of Remembrance and Action event on the fourth anniversary of Rep. John Lewis’s death. FEBO joins 150 events in 41 states and Washington, DC to honor his extraordinary legacy and call on Congress to pass critical legislation to protect voting rights, end gerrymandering, and remove money from politics to realize Rep. Lewis’ vision of a democracy that works for all of us.

Given the ongoing attacks on democracy, the events will underscore the urgency of this moment in our history. We intend to inform, motivate and activate our community to work toward the passage of multiple reform bills.

To accomplish this, Savannah residents and activists are demanding that Congress pass a series of democracy reform bills, including the For the People Act (S1), the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Freedom To Vote Act, the Native American Voting Rights Act, and the Washington DC Admission Act.

Join FEBO Vintage Rare Inc. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with Jerome Irwin, moderator for legislators and local official speakers, at Fellwood Park (West Savannah Community), 50 Kenny Anderson Collection Drive, 31415, to commemorate the passing of the late Congressman John Lewis on the 4th anniversary of his death – “as we continue his legacy by holding rallies, community events, press events and candlelight vigils across the country to demand that Congress take action to protect our freedom to vote and rebuild our democracy.”

This event is hosted by FEBO Vintage Rare Inc. in partnership with the Declaration for American Democracy, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Black Voters Matter Fund, League of Women Voters, and the Transformative Justice Coalition. The event is part of the John Lewis National Day of Commemoration and Action, a nationwide series of over 100 events honoring Representative John Lewis and calling on Congress to implement his vision of democracy by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Freedom To Vote Act, the Native American Voting Rights Act, and the Washington DC Admission Act.
