Teresa Giudice talks about the famous phone call from her ex-husband Joe

Teresa Giudice reflected on a memorable scene from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” that was filmed over a decade ago.

In a July 2024 interview, the RHONJ OG admitted that she thought producers edited out her ex-husband Joe Giudice’s vulgar comments about her during a group trip to Napa, California, in 2012. The scene took place in the RHONJ season 4 episode “Whine Country.”

In the famous scene from Season 4, the Giudice patriarch was overheard walking away to make a phone call while the cast celebrated Caroline Manzo’s 50th birthday.^th birthday in Napa. “Here she comes, my hot wife,” Joe Giudice said to the mysterious person on the other end of the line. “She’s so hot.” Then he hung up after his wife came over to see who he was talking to.

On the podcast “Reality With the King” in July 2024, Teresa, 52, told host Carlos King that her now ex-husband had never spoken so harshly about her and she still wonders who he was talking to.

“I said, ‘My husband never called me the C-word,'” she said. “I said, ‘He never… You edited that in.’ (The show’s producers said) ‘Teresa, no we didn’t.’ (Andy Cohen said) ‘Nobody edited that in. Your husband said it.'”

The Giudices divorced in 2020 after 20 years of marriage.

Teresa Giudice told King she was “shocked” when she first saw the scene of her husband’s phone call in 2012. “He slept on the couch for two weeks,” she told King about her ex. “I was really mad. And he was really mad too. I was like, ‘I can’t believe you called me that. You never said that to me.'”

At the time, she published a blog post on Bravo, revealing that she had been informed about the scene before it aired on Bravo. “When I got a copy and watched it, I was sick. I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach,” Teresa wrote, noting that she “begged” the network to remove the scene.

“He doesn’t speak to me like that at home, he’s never called me that before and he doesn’t remember saying it,” she added. “It hurt my feelings and it was horrible to see it on national television.”

In the new interview, Teresa also asked if her husband was having an affair at the time. (He claimed the call was a “work call.”)

“There were two women he cheated on me with. And I asked both of those women,” Teresa King said. “One of them was his secretary at the time and the other one – I won’t say who it is – he knew from his past and I was friends with her too. I asked them both. I asked them point blank, ‘Are you (expletive) my husband?’ Both of them… denied it, so what was I supposed to do?” she added.

“He denies it to this day,” Teresa told King. “Do I believe him? No. I don’t believe him. I say, ‘Just admit it, we’re divorced now.'”

Although they divorced in 2020, Teresa and Joe Giudice maintain a friendly relationship for the benefit of their four daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana.

In a 2022 interview on Teresa’s podcast “Namaste B$tches,” Joe admitted he was “disgusted” by his behavior on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

““I have never used that word with a girl,” he claimed. “I don’t even know where it comes from… And especially to call the mother of my children that… When I saw it, I was disgusted.”

Joe Giudice also admitted that he hated being on the Bravo reality show from the beginning. “I really didn’t want to be on (the show),” he added. “It was kind of annoying for me to sit there and have people film what I was doing.”
