The series is a documentary show that details each player’s experience in the NFL during the 2023 season. Each has a different story and belongs to distinctly different franchises, which adds a bit of variety to the stories.

Peyton Manning was executive producer of the documentary series and spoke to Netflix about the series in mid-June:

“As we do with Quarterback: “We look forward to telling the stories of five incredible receivers, each with their own unique personality, skills and the motivation that drives them to be the best,” Manning said.

NFL Films, Omaha Productions and Patrick Mahomes’ 2PM Productions, the creative team behind “Quarterback,” helped produce the show. The series features four wide receivers and one tight end.

“We were thrilled last summer as viewers around the world immersed themselves in the lives of NFL quarterbacks,” Joe Zucco, executive producer of NFL Films, told Netflix. “We believe the extraordinary skills, dedication and passion of the NFL’s great wide receivers – and one tight end – will make for a perfect sequel.”
