Sabrina Carpenter fans are shocked to discover that her aunt is the voice of Bart Simpson

Fans of Sabrina Carpenter were shocked this week to learn that her aunt is the voice of Bart Simpson.

Nancy Cartwright, who played Bart in The simpsons as well as Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, Nelson Muntz and Maggie Simpson announced the news on social media this week while answering questions from fans.

The 66-year-old Emmy award winner also lent his voice to Chuckie in The RugratsRufus in Kim PossibleMindy in Animaniacs and many other famous cartoon characters.

When a fan asked if Carpenter was her niece, Cartwright replied, “Yes! Absolutely!”

She added: “Isn’t that incredible? You may have known me for a while, known this little 10-year-old boy for 35 years – and some of you for a lot less – and find out that I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty incredible.”

In the TikTok caption for the video, Cartwright wrote: “The rumors are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”

Fans reacted to the video in the comments section, sharing their surprise at the news. “But why does it make so much sense that Sabrina is related to Bart Simpson??? It really is a family setting,” one fan wrote.

“Can we hear Bart Espresso sing?! PLEEEEE,” asked another.

Before the main role in Life and I At Disney, Carpenter followed in her aunt’s footsteps and voiced characters in Phineas and Ferb before she started her musical career.

Meanwhile, Carpenter has announced the tracklist for her highly anticipated sixth album, “Short N’ Sweet.”

The pop singer took to social media yesterday (July 9) to share a video featuring the tracklist for her upcoming album. The album is set to be released on August 23 via Island Records and is available to pre-order and save now.

The album comes after she supported Taylor Swift several times on the “Eras” tour and released two great singles: “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”.

In more Sabrina Carpenter news, the singer announced last month (June 20) details of her North American “The Short N’ Sweet Tour,” which is set to kick off later this year.

It starts on September 23rd at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. From there, it will stop in major cities such as Toronto, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Orlando, Austin, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and more. Remaining tickets are available here.
