What is the plot of The Thursday Murder Club on Netflix?

Once a week, four unlikely friends meet in a peaceful retirement home to investigate unsolved murder cases. But when a brutal murder occurs right outside their front door, the Thursday Murder Club finds itself in the middle of its first real case.

Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron may be almost eighty, but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Can the unconventional but brilliant gang catch the murderer before it’s too late?

Is it based on a book?

The Thursday Murder Club is an adaptation of the book by Pointless star Richard Osman. The novel was named Crime of the Month by The Times and Best Crime and Thriller by The Guardian.

Author Marian Keyes called the book “intelligent, compassionate, warm, moving and VERY funny.” Rebus author Ian Rankin, on the other hand, described it as “so clever and funny and woefully good.”

The second novel in the Thursday Murder Club Mysteries is titled “The Man Who Died Twice,” followed by “The Bullet That Missed,” and finally “The Last Devil To Die.”

We assume that there will be a Netflix adaptation of the sequel books in the future!

When will it be released?
