Bradley Cooper names the A-list singer he considered for ‘A Star Is Born Before Lady Gaga’

Bradley Cooper revealed that he initially had another pop star in mind when putting together his film A star Is Born Before Lady Gaga secured the leading role.

The latest version of the classic story was decades in the making, and it is well documented that at one point Beyonce was in talks for the lead role, while Clint Eastwood would have directed.

However, the main roles ultimately went to Gaga and Bradley, with the latter serving as both actor and director.

But in At the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last week, he revealed (as IndieWire reported) that things could have turned out very differently in the end.

“I thought about Adele for a while,” he admitted, before revealing that in this version of the story his character would have struggled with his career and gone abroad, where he would have met a woman who was the singer of Someone Like You that would change his life.

“It never even started,” the Maestro star added.

“A Star Is Born” finally hit theaters in 2018 and was Gaga’s first time starring in a film.

The film was nominated for eight Oscars, including best acting performances by Bradley, Gaga and her co-star Sam Elliott, and won Best Original Song for the singer’s hit contribution to the film’s soundtrack, “Shallow.”

Since then, Gaga has also taken on the lead role in the biopic House of Gucciand is set so that the screen with Joaquin Phoenix in the coming joker Sequel to Folie A Deux, which is due to be published later this year.
