What is “In the Arena: Serena Williams” about?

Each episode of In the Arena: Serena Williams covers a different period of Williams’ life and career, including the start of her tennis career alongside her sister Venus, her best Grand Slam moments, her family life and her decision to announce her retirement before the 2022 US Open.

“My dad got my sister out of there and then he started saying I was going to get better. I looked different. I played differently,” Williams said in a trailer for the documentary series. “I was more emotional. I had muscles. I was something nobody had ever seen before.”
