A young girl from Norman was randomly chosen to meet Taylor Swift at the pop sensation’s concert in Scotland earlier this month.

At each show on the Eras Tour, one lucky fan is chosen to receive a hat known as the ’22 Hat.’ Natalie Streight, 8, now owns her own signed hat after becoming that lucky fan during the June 7 concert in Edinburgh.

Lara Streight, Natalie’s mother, said the family had already planned a trip to Europe before they decided to buy tickets to Swift’s show in Edinburgh.

The family was singing and dancing to the pop star’s hits when a lady approached Natalie and Lara and told them to follow her.

“I thought we were in trouble. I thought, ‘What did Natalie do wrong? What’s going on?'” Lara said. “I was really confused.”

As they got closer to the stage, Lara realized that Natalie might get the famous hat with the number 22.

“(Natalie) couldn’t really believe she was getting the hat until she got on stage and then she thought, ‘OK, now it’s happening,'” Lara said.

Natalie was speechless, delighted and in love when Swift put the hat on the eight-year-old’s head.

Now the hat is in a safe place and Natalie is overjoyed.

“We have no way to say ‘thank you’ to Taylor for this, but I know (Natalie) would love to say ‘thank you’ if she could,” Lara said. “It was an incredible moment and definitely the highlight of the trip. Maybe the highlight of her life.”
