Kady McDermott accidentally reveals the start date of filming for Love Island Games

Love Island fans should prepare for incredibly exciting news: a new All-Stars spin-off is in the works and it sounds so good.

The spin-off series “Love Island Games” brings islanders from all over the world together for a second chance at love.

Love Island Games will air on Peacock later this year and here’s everything you need to know about the new spin-off series.

When does filming for Love Island Games start?

Love Island legend Kady McDermott accidentally revealed the start date of filming for Love Island Games, and it will indeed begin very soon.

Speaking on Sam Thompson and Pete Wick’s Staying Relevant podcast, Kady revealed that she was asked to appear in the series in September this year, but declined as she had just appeared in the latest British series.

She said: “I’ve been asked to do Love Island The Games in September – I’ve had enough, I’m retired for the year. I’m not going to do that.”

It has not yet been confirmed whether the series will be filmed before release or if it will follow the typical format of the classic series and start airing while filming is underway, meaning we can expect to see it on our screens very soon. Either way, we are very much looking forward to further updates.

What are Love Island Games?

Love Island Games is a new spin-off series coming soon that brings former islanders from the UK, US and Australia together for a second chance at love.

According to Deadline, the series will see contestants compete in team and couple challenges, as well as experience everything else we love and expect from Love Island – eliminations, re-pairings, and of course, plenty of drama.

It is not yet clear where the series will be filmed and who will host the spin-off.

Who was cast for the Love Island games?

There is no official confirmation of the cast list for the upcoming season of Love Island Games yet, but we definitely have a few favourites that we need to see back in the villa.

First of all, a Love Island spin-off has to include the iconic Maura Higgins. And we would love to see a surprise return from Ovie Soko. Perhaps Adam Collard will make history and give us a third appearance on Love Island?

One person we know will not be appearing is Kady McDermott, who revealed during an interview on the Staying Relevant podcast that she has turned down an appearance in the upcoming series.

Is there a release date for Love Island Games?

We don’t have an official release date for Love Island Games yet, but we hope it comes out sometime this year.
