The High Plains 4-H Club met on May 20 at the Desoto Building for its club meeting, which opened at 7:04 p.m.

The club began by discussing old business, including the profit from the 4-H carnival and ways to improve things for next year, as well as a rocket workshop in which some club members participated.

The club then turned its attention to new tasks. The cattle and horse registers must be submitted to the Extension Office on September 6th. The cattle show day was scheduled for June 5th and 6th, and the registration documents had to be submitted on May 21st.

The club was very excited to hear that the annual 4-H camping trip was just a few weeks away! The trip will be June 7-9. The State 4-H Conference was also scheduled to be June 18-21. The club was also very excited to announce the Creative Cooks and Public Presentation event on June 12th from 1-4pm at the Extension Office. This event gives people of all ages the opportunity to create their own menu, cook their own food, and serve their delicious dishes! If you want to show people your crazy cooking skills, now is your chance!

We ended the meeting with four demonstrations. Braya, Brennyn and Ellys Kailey gave a joint demonstration on “How to check the health of a rabbit”, Jaken Adam gave a demonstration on “How to bake a cake”, Levi Bolton gave a demonstration on “How to care for rabbits” and Ryker Rice gave a demonstration on “The history of Legos”.
