Christina “Chris” Wikle, 75, North Platte

Christina “Chris” Wikle of North Platte passed away on July 5, 2024 at the age of 75 at Great Plains Health.

Chris, the daughter of Don and Velma Dancer, was born on March 20, 1949, in North Platte, where she grew up. In 1964, the family moved to Omaha and Chris graduated from Central High School.

She lived and worked in various states before moving to the Kansas City, Missouri area and starting working at Hallmark. While working there, Chris met Shawn Wikle and they married on June 22, 1985, in Independence, Missouri. The couple lived in various locations until moving to North Platte in 2020.

Chris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and animal lover. She will be missed very much.

Her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Diana and Daniel Edwards, and her daughter Apryl Knobbe had already died.

Chris is survived by her husband Shawn, her son Christopher Knobbe (Jennifer) of Leander, Texas, her grandchildren Quinn and Ava Knobbe, her brother Ken Dancer (Linda) of North Platte and other family members.

Cremation has been chosen. The Odean Colonial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
