AJ Francis would like to defend the TNA Digital Media title against Ricochet

AJ Francis is a huge fan of Ricochet and says he would love to defend his TNA Digital Media Championship title against his former WWE colleague. Ricochet is a free agent after leaving WWE earlier this month and Francis took the time to praise him in a recent interview on The Angle Podcast, where Joey Karni asked him if he would like to see Ricochet come to TNA to face him.

“Absolutely, 100%,” Francis began (per Fightful). “Ricochet, I use that as an example and I stole it from Jon Cruz, who is in AEW Serpentico. He’s the person that trained me more than anyone else. I use that quote from him, it was like, ‘Stop doing crazy moves and try to get good with the crowd. You can’t do a new move, Ricochet already exists.’ Ricochet already exists, Ricochet is the guy. In my personal opinion, there’s nobody better than Ricochet when it comes to in-ring skills. There’s nobody.”

He continued, “I’d love to put it on the line against him. I think we’d have an incredible match. We had an incredible three-minute match on SmackDown, it was a lot of fun. We have a history there. He and I are very good friends. I’d love to put it on the line against Ricochet. We’d have an absolute killer match. He’s so good. He’s one of the greatest, if not the greatest in the ring of all time. The way he sells himself, the way he moves, the moves he makes, there’s no denying it. There are rumors that he’s going to AEW, I’ve heard that. That’s what they’re saying on the internet. But I’d love to get the chance to defend it against Ricochet because in my opinion there’s nobody better.”

Ricochet has reportedly received significant interest from AEW, but it is not yet known where he will appear next.
