The governor insists the memoir is about telling her own story, but its release comes at a time when so many eyes are on President Biden and his debate performance and talks about a possible new nominee.

“True Gretch: What I Learned About Leadership in Life and Everything in Between” is a pretty impressive title for the memoirs of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

In the book, Whiter addresses everything from the conspiracy to murder her to the calls for her ouster during the pandemic.

The governor has won two elections by wide margins in the swing state of Michigan, but now eyes are even more on her after President Joe Biden’s poor performance in the first debate with former President Donald Trump and talk of a possible new candidate. Whitmer is co-chair of President Biden’s re-election campaign.

The governor has done a lot for gun control in our state, especially after the Oxford and MSU shootings, and yet she still manages to find humor and positivity in this book.

In this memoir, you’ll also hear the governor talk about her grandmother and even her ex-husband.

Some readers of the book say it is funny and shows true courage and drive despite overwhelming obstacles.
