Coastal activists raise concerns with Landry administration; Summer Lyric Theater presents “Anything Goes”; Piano competition comes to NOLA

Gov. Jeff Landry’s administration is seeking to overhaul the state’s natural resources management, and part of that initiative could mean big changes for the agency responsible for restoring Louisiana’s coast. As Halle Parker of the Coastal Desk reports, coastal conservationists fear any changes could undermine coastal restoration.

A dozen aspiring top pianists from around the world are coming to the Crescent City this week to compete in the 29th New Orleans International Piano Competition, presented by the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans. Cara McCool Woolf, executive director and artistic director of MASNO, gives us the details.

Tulane’s Summer Lyric Theatre is gearing up for its 57th season with a production of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes. Director Ken Goode and lead actress Leslie Claverie tell us more about this production of a tap-dancing musical comedy.
