Taylor Sheridan’s new series with Billy Bob Thornton reveals first look and premiere date

Yellowstone Creative mind Taylor Sheridan is preparing to unveil his latest series, starring Billy Bob Thornton. Sheridan’s Landman shares first photos and confirms release date on Paramount+.




By deadline, Landman released its first pictures with Thornton’s main character and star colleague Jon Hamm. The oil drama will Premiere on Paramount+ on November 17starts with a double episode. Each subsequent episode of the season will be available on Sundays. Check out the new photos below.

Based on Christian Wallace’s 11-part podcast, Boomcast, Landman is set in modern-day West Texas and tells the story of the search for wealth on the oil rig. The series is about wild billionaires and gangsters who fuel a boom in the oil industry so big that it changes the economy, the climate and geopolitics. Sheridan was executive producer Landmanwhile MTV Entertainment Studios co-produced the series along with 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.

Thornton plays Tommy Norris, a crisis manager at an oil company, while Hamm plays Monty Miller, a titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long professional relationship with Norris. Ali Larter plays Norris’ ex-wife, and Demi Moore stars as Cami, a friend of Norris and the wife of another oil industry heavyweight. The series also stars Michael Peña, Andy Garcia, Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph.

Kevin Costner was one of the reasons for Yellowstone’s popularity, but he knew how to get his projects across.

Also known for creating Law Enforcer: Bass Reeves and several Yellowstone Spin-offs, including 1883 And 1923Sheridan got Landman launched on Paramount+ when the streamer Boomtown adaptation in 2022. Filming began last February in Fort Worth and ended in June. The series includes 10 episodes, with Sheridan also serving as screenwriter. In May, Moore claimed Landman has been renewed for a second season by Paramount+, with production scheduled to begin in 2025.


Meanwhile, Sheridan’s Yellowstone will introduce Season 5B on Paramount+, the second half of the final season of the western drama, which premieres on November 10. The series, starring Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly and Brandon Sklenar, will no longer feature Kevin Costner after he left the series following stalled contract negotiations and alleged creative differences with Sheridan. In addition, Sheridan’s spy series, lionesswhich was recently renewed for a second season at Paramount, with Zoë Saldaña as the main character and The Umbrella Academy Star Genesis Rodriguez in a key role.

Landman Premieres on Paramount+ on November 17th.
