Swampscott’s Summer By The Sea concert series begins this week

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott will kick off its annual summer concert series Wednesday night with Big Ol’ Dirty Bucket on the City Hall lawn.

The seven-week concert series will include music, food and a beer garden from Beverly-based Coastal Mass. Brewing. Papa Freddo’s Pizza will be on-site as a food vendor.

The concerts take place every week from 6 to 8 p.m. The main sponsor this year is Sagan Harborside Sotheby’s International Realty.

Concerts will be held weather permitting and will be updated on the Swampscott Recreation Facebook page as needed.

Funk band Big Ol’ Dirty Bucket is scheduled to perform this week, as well as country band Pick Six on July 17, Grateful Dead tribute (and more) Moose Juice on July 24, and all-ages rock ‘n’ roll band Phillip Alexander & The Wild Things on July 31.

Vocal harmony pop and rock group She Will Have Her Way will perform on August 7, American roots band The New GrownUps is scheduled for August 14, and blues guitarist extraordinaire Chris Fitz and his band are scheduled to close out the Swampscott By The Sea series on August 21.
