Sonakshi Sinha says SRK’s congratulatory message to Zaheer Iqbal was the highlight of the day

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was not present at the wedding reception of couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, but he made the couple feel special with his special message.

On Tuesday, Sonakshi posted a message on Instagram revealing that SRK had sent her and Zaheer a voice message on their wedding anniversary.

She also shared a photo in which she and Zaheer can be seen listening to SRK’s audio message.

She began her caption by saying, “A wedding can be chaotic… but you have to steal those moments in between that will stay with you forever.”

She then shared separate captions for all the photos. For the first two photos, she wrote, “Picture 1 and 2: We film and make our own music (since 2017), here in the middle of shooting our wedding photos!! Picture 1 is now my wallpaper.”

She then shared the next photo: “Pic 5: Listening to a voice message from his all time favourite SRK (see pic 1 for reference) sending us both so much love and well wishes for the big day… I think this was the highlight of @iamzahero’s day.”

SRK’s gesture garnered reactions from his fans.

“SRK knows best how to make someone feel special,” commented one social media user.

“Wow… SRK is the best,” wrote another.

In the post, Sonakshi also shared that she got ready before Zaheer and wrote that she teared up when she saw herself in sindoor.

“Picture 6 and 7: Ever heard of a bride getting ready before her groom? No?? Well, here it is. The bride also cried when she saw herself in sindoor for the first time!” Sonakshi wrote in the caption.

Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23 in the presence of their loved ones at their Mumbai residence. It was an intimate wedding.

The civil ceremony was followed by a wedding reception in Bastian, which was attended by numerous Bollywood stars.

The reception was attended by a number of Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Vidya Balan with Siddharth Roy Kapur and veteran actress Saira Banu who came to congratulate the couple and celebrate their union. Sonakshi and Zaheer, who have been together for seven years, sealed their love in an intimate ceremony in the presence of close family and friends.

The couple recently shared glimpses of their wedding on social media, marking that June 23 will forever be etched in their hearts.

Sonakshi expressed her joy in a heartfelt Instagram post, reflecting on her journey of love and togetherness. “On this day seven years ago (6/23/2017), we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has seen us through all the challenges and triumphs… to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and our two Gods… we are now husband and wife. Here’s to love, hope and everything beautiful with each other, from now until eternity. Sonakshi Zaheer 6/23/2024,” Sonakshi wrote while announcing her wedding to Zaheer. Sonakshi and Zaheer were together for seven years before solemnizing their relationship.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi will be seen in ‘Kakuda’. The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and will be released on ZEE5 on July 12. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
