Two fights have been added to the main card of the Bellator Champions Series in San Diego, including one featuring a bantamweight looking to reclaim gold.
Former interim middleweight (61 kg) champion Raufeon Stots will face Marcos Breno in the co-main event at Pechanga Arena on September 7, a source confirmed.
And less than two weeks after an impressive TKO victory, Riverside welterweight Lorenz Larkin will step back into the cage against Levan Chokheli.
The main event, which was first reported by the Southern California News Group on June 18, will feature undefeated lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov (17-0, 1 NC) and Alexander Shabliy (24-3).
Stots, 35, a Milwaukee native, lost his interim title to Patchy Mix via first-round knockout in the April 2023 Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix at Bellator 295. Stots (20-2) rebounded by rematching Danny Sabatello 11 months after his split decision victory over the Italian gangster, this time winning the title by unanimous decision at Bellator 301 in November.
Breno (15-3), a 26-year-old Brazilian, has not fought since losing by second-round rear-naked choke to Sabatello at Bellator 294 in April of last year.
The 37-year-old Larkin (26-8) steamrolled Alan Dominguez on June 28 at PFL 6, pounding on his downed opponent and earning a referee stoppage with 14 seconds left in the first round.
Chokheli (13-2), a 26-year-old Georgian, has a 4-2 record since his Bellator debut just over three years ago. He has won his last three fights, with his most recent victory being a first-round front kick knockout of Sabah Homasi at Bellator 299.
