WOLF HOFFMANN from ACCEPT: “The experience of a live show is as valuable as ever, or perhaps even more valuable”

In a new interview with Full Metal Jackie‘s nationally broadcast radio show, ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann was asked what the biggest changes have been in his 50 years of recording and touring music. He replied: “Oh my God. Yeah, the whole landscape has changed tremendously. If you think about it, when we started, there weren’t that many bands and it was all about getting a record deal with a major label. And then the goal was always to sell millions of albums. And think about how much The everything has changed; now it’s all about digital downloads and streaming. So the way we distribute music has completely changed, and the way we consume music has changed too. But I’ll tell you what hasn’t changed – that’s the touring aspect of things. It’s really still the way it’s always been. I mean, you pack your gear, you round up the guys and you travel to where you need to go and you play your songs in front of an audience and that’s pretty much the way it’s always been. And that’s great. I think the experience of a live show is just as valuable or maybe even more valuable than it ever was because of digitization, if that word even exists.”
