Chris Lewis was the Department Manager of the Denver Service Center (DSC) Design and Engineering Department and succeeds Todd Alexander, who is retiring in March 2024. Chris began his new role as DSC Department Manager for the East Design and Engineering Team on June 30, 2024.

“Chris is a valued leader at the Denver Service Center,” said Bethany Barron, DSC Director. “His expertise and experience, combined with his ability to effectively manage people and programs, make him an excellent fit for this position.”

Chris began his career with DSC in February 1993 as an Electrical Engineer, working on projects in the Western United States including Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. He later worked in the Eastern United States on projects such as the United States Forest Service’s Grey Towers, Gateway National Recreation Area, and Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. In 2000, Chris began working for the General Services Administration as a Project Manager in the Capital Improvement Division, eventually becoming Project Management Manager for the Mountain-Plains Division. Chris returned to DSC in 2007 and has since led project execution on major programs such as the Elwha River Restoration, Hurricane Sandy Recovery, City+Arch+River in Saint Louis, Crow Creek Tribal School, Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Harvey, and Disaster Supplemental.

“I am truly honored to be selected as the new DSC Department Head for the East Design and Engineering team and look forward to working with our DSC leadership, design and engineering management team, and the incredibly talented and hard-working staff who deliver amazing projects all day, every day.”
