Taylor Swift releases acoustic version of Post Malone collaboration “Fortnight”

The variations just keep going. On Monday (July 8), Taylor Swift released a new acoustic version of her The “Tortured Poets” section Song “Fortnight” with Post Malone. In the quiet version of the single from Swift’s latest No. 1 album, the two singers take turns singing a shimmering, unplugged arrangement.

The refresh includes the album’s original version, as well as a bubbly remix by New York indie duo Cults. In an Instagram post on Tuesday morning (July 9), the band reposted the single’s striking cover image, which features Swift showing off Posty’s signature face tattoos, along with a message thanking the pop idol for bringing her into her expansive universe.

“Honored to have the opportunity to remix the song ‘Fortnight’ by the legend @taylorswift,” they wrote.

The remix and unplugged version are the latest versions of the double album, which has been released in many different physical variants, including multiple CDs, vinyls, cassettes and deluxe versions.

Swift recently added another award to her already bulging record collection when TTPD reached its 11th consecutive week and overall at number 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated July 13), making the singer’s latest single with her two 1989 And Fearless as their longest-running albums at number 1. TTPD is also the first album by a woman to spend 11 consecutive weeks at number 1 since the Whitney Houston-led soundtrack to The Bodyguard From December 1992 to March 1993, the record remained at number 1 for 13 consecutive weeks (out of a total of 20 non-consecutive weeks at the top).

Swift’s Eras tour continues this week with the first of two shows at Zurich’s Letzigrund Stadium on Tuesday (July 9).
