Disney is reportedly working on a sequel to the 2006 hit The devil Wears Prada with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

The original film’s screenwriter, Aline Brosh McKenna, is currently in talks to return and write the sequel. It has not yet been confirmed which actors will be recast for the next installment.

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel about a young woman’s nightmarish experiences working for a fashion magazine, The devil Wears Prada was a box office hit, grossing $326.7 million worldwide.

The box office hit stars Streep as influential fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, with Hathaway and Blunt playing her stressed-out assistants Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton.

The film earned Streep an Oscar nomination for Best Actress and a Golden Globe.

The 2006 film adaptation is about young college graduate Andy Sachs, who gets a job as an assistant to the impressive Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.

The sequel’s plot will reportedly revolve around Priestly navigating her career during a time of decline in traditional magazine publishing and dealing with Blunt’s character, who is now a high-ranking executive at a luxury conglomerate with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.
