Is it cheaper to see Taylor Swift in America or abroad?

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Taylor Swift fans have traveled far and wide to see the Eras Tour. Some say it’s cheaper to see her in Europe than in the U.S.

It’s been a “cruel summer” for Swifties in the Carolinas, as Taylor hasn’t stopped in either state during the Eras tour. She does have stops planned in three other American cities, but they come at a high price.

This raises the question: is it really cheaper to go abroad?

Looking at concert ticket prices for their upcoming European dates, the cheapest single ticket for a show in Milan costs around $300. For fans who want to make it a “love story,” tickets for two seats next to each other are significantly more expensive.

Logistically, flights from Charlotte to Milan cost about $1,200. When you factor in lodging and food, fans would likely spend at least $2,000 in total.

The Eras Tour stays in the US, heading to Miami and New Orleans in October and Indianapolis in early November. Although it’s closer to home, American fans pay a pretty penny for tickets.

Tickets in Miami and Indianapolis start at $2,000 per seat, and in New Orleans, they’re around $1,700. So yes, concert tickets in the US alone are more expensive, but domestic flights are cheaper. A flight from Charlotte to the three destinations costs between $120 and $400. Again, you have to factor in accommodation and meals.

All in all, Swifties may find it a little cheaper to travel abroad, but not by much. It all depends on how “fearless” they are.

As with “Karma,” ticket prices fluctuate so fans can track them online at any time.
