State coroner classifies cause of death of Tulsa woman as homicide

The state medical examiner states that Cassidy Ritchie’s cause of death was homicide due to multiple blunt force injuries to the head, midsection, arms and legs.

Ritchie disappeared in January.

She was found dead and buried under clothes in the back seat of her wrecked car near Inola.

Investigators say her husband, Chris Morland, beat Ritchie to death after an argument.

The autopsy also shows that Ritchie had drugs in her system at the time of her death.

Morland is charged with first-degree murder and is due in court later this month.
