Alan Parsons, 13-time Grammy nominee and Grammy winner, recording artist, songwriter, musician and record producer, will be the musical director of the One805Live! fall concert.

The concert at Kevin Costner’s estate in Carpinteria will be headlined by Pink and Dallas Green, who will perform as the duo Me + You. Grammy winners Kenny Loggins and Richard Marx will also perform at the concert, One805 announced.

Parsons began his career at the age of 18 at Abby Road Studios, where he first worked as a recording engineer for the Beatles recordings “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be”.

His notable work as a recording engineer includes Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon,” for which he received his first Grammy nomination, and Al Stewart’s “Year of the Cat,” on which Parsons was responsible for the legendary saxophone part.

Parsons co-founded the Alan Parsons Project with Eric Woolfson in 1975 and released ten albums between 1976 and 1987, including several hits that made the Billboard Hot 100, including “Eye in the Sky” and “Time.”

In recent years, Parsons released “The Secret,” his first studio album in 15 years, in 2019, followed by “From the New World” in 2022.

For his contributions to music and music production, Parsons was awarded the title Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2021 Birthday Honours. He is also a founding member of the board of One805.

Founded in the wake of the Thomas Fire and subsequent landslides, One805 hosted the largest non-profit event in Santa Barbara history – the Kick Ash Bash!

In the spirit of healing, the event brought together actors, entertainers, singers and the community and raised over $2 million to provide counseling support to first responders and purchase equipment to directly assist victims of the tragedy.
