(VINnews) — An anti-Semitic song on Spotify that allegedly links Israel to Osama Bin Laden has been removed from the platform – a victory for pro-Israel activists, but the damage may already be done. “Free Palestine” was released in 2014 and has been streamed over 1.9 million times on Spotify and 3.5 million times on YouTube.

According to the Jewish Chronicle, the viciously anti-Semitic lyrics state: “Jews are not bad, but the Zionists are evil. Even the rabbis know the Zionists are crazy.” It claims: “Israel wants every Palestinian to bleed.” It also says that the Jewish state “kills newborns.”

In addition, the pro-BDS song, sung by Safeer Hussain alias Ambassador MC, links Israel with National Socialism and the September 11, 2001 attacks by Al-Qaeda: “Because what happened in America on September 11 is happening in Palestine 24/7.”

The apparent ban on the song came after more than two years of lobbying by We Believe in Israel (WBII) and the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

Other songs the groups have called out but are still available on Spotify include Lowkey’s rap series “Long Live Palestine,” which calls for the globalization of the intifada, praises Yemen’s Houthis, and claims that “resistance is not terrorism.”
