Jennifer Lopez releases breakup song amid alleged marital problems with Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is celebrating the anniversary of one of her songs, but her fans believe there may be a cryptic message behind it. The singer took to Instagram on Monday (July 8) to share the anniversary of her song “Cambia El Paso,” which she released in 2021. The release of “Cambia El Paso” followed the end of her engagement to Yankees alumnus Alex Rodriguez in April 2021.

In her post, she shared a clip from the music video in which she is dancing on a beach. “Happy anniversary Cambia El Paso…” Lopez wrote in her post.

The Cambia El Paso anniversary celebration comes after divorce rumors swirled between her and Ben Affleck. The couple’s relationship was under surveillance after they weren’t seen together for months. They finally appeared at an event for Affleck’s daughter Violet, whom he has with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Most recently, the two seemingly didn’t spend any time together over the Fourth of July weekend, opting for separate activities to enjoy the festivities. Lopez is in her home state of New York with twins Emme and Max Munez, whom she has with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck, on the other hand, was spotted sunbathing in Los Angeles. The two were both spotted wearing their wedding rings over the holiday weekend, however.

Lopez’s family has already commented on her relationship with Ben Affleck.

“Jennifer’s mother told her, ‘Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting deeper into this mess,'” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“He wasn’t the person she made him out to be. It was too much of a burden on her and because of that she lost sight of who she is and what she stands for,” the insider added.

Lopez’s mother is not the only one who thinks it would be best for Jennifer if she left the band. They share her mother’s view that the singer has “lost sight of who she really is.”

“Jennifer currently feels like Ben doesn’t deserve her, and her sisters agree,” the insider continued, sharing what her sisters Leslie Ann and Lynda think about their sister’s marriage. “They obviously want Jennifer to be happy, but they feel like their sister is so caught up in what it should be that she doesn’t see it as it is now.”

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the two will sell their $61 million Beverly Hills mansion, which the couple purchased together in 2023. According to People reports, Affleck has removed his belongings from the house and the two are living separately, while Lopez is back living at the shared property.

Neither Lopez nor Affleck have commented on their relationship yet.
