Nordstrom’s membership program is a valuable shopping tool, giving you access to the department store’s best deals, exclusive perks and early sales just by signing up.

What is the Nordy Club?

The Nordy Club is a membership that gives you a front row seat to better savings and early access to coveted special offers, including the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – so you can snag that beautiful pair of shoes before anyone else.

Depending on your membership status, you can get free basic alterations, attend lifestyle events and workshops, and get exclusive early access to select brands and deals, like Clear the Rack, a quarterly sale at Nordstrom Rack, the brand’s discount department store, where you get an additional 25 percent off the clearance portion. Did someone say “super savings”?

How to sign up for the Nordy Club

Signing up for Nordy Club membership is completely free for the most basic membership level. All you need to do is enter your name, phone number and email address to set up your account with Nordstrom and start earning points on your fashionable purchases. But if you’re an avid Nordstrom shopper who wants to get the most money back on your purchases, you’ll need to invest to save.

Member access is free and requires no minimum annual spend to maintain your status. You can enjoy perks like free basic alterations, early access to select brands and Nordstrom Rack’s Clear the Rack sale, exclusive Nordy Club promotions, and even lifestyle workshops.

Influencer access includes all the same perks and a few more. This membership level comes with three “personal double points days” where you can earn double points on your purchases on days of your choosing, as well as priority access to Nordstrom-themed events. Influencers must spend at least $500 per year to maintain this membership level. You also unlock this level when you open a Nordstrom credit card.

Ambassador Access ups the ante with four additional perks, including a personal in-home stylist, four total “double points personal days,” and invitation-only events: workshops, parties, and fashion shows that only members can attend. You must spend $5,000 a year at Nordstrom to reach this membership level.

Symbol access is the crème de la crème of Nordstrom, which means you’ve spent $15,000 or more at Nordstrom in a year—and they want to thank you for that. In addition to all the other perks, you’ll get a total of five “double points personal days,” same-day delivery to select locations, after-hours access to your favorite Nordstrom store, unlimited advanced alterations, ultra-early access to the Anniversary Sale, and reimbursement of Nordstrom credit card fees. Did we mention you’ll also be treated to Icon-only events and exclusive dining and spa experiences?

Benefits of a Nordstrom Membership

Points and notes

For every dollar you spend at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, you will earn one point in your Nordy Club account. With enough points, you can earn Nordstrom coupons, redeemable like cash at any Nordstrom store. Coupons are only valid for purchases at Nordstrom – you cannot exchange them for cash or store credit.

You can earn notes faster when you purchase with a Nordstrom credit or debit card, which doubles your points per purchase (i.e. 2 points for $1). Even better, if you’ve earned enough points to unlock Ambassador or Icon status, you’ll triple your points for every dollar you spend with a Nordstrom card. If you don’t want to wait that long to earn a note or two, you can purchase through the Nordstrom app to unlock a $5 note after you’ve earned 500 points, or $15 for 1,500 points.

Nordy Club members also have the opportunity to receive bonus Nordstrom Notes throughout the year, which they will be notified about via email. Essentially, Nordstrom is giving away money to some of its most loyal customers – so it’s worth saving up for notes.

Events and workshops

Fashion fans will appreciate Nordstrom’s exclusive brand events. These events are by invitation only and include things like exclusive shopping parties, fashion shows and retailer workshops.

Changes

Nordy Club members can get free basic alterations on clothing purchased at select Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations at Nordstrom stores. Cardholders have expanded access to alteration benefits, including Nordstrom Notes reimbursement once you pay for your advanced alteration service. Cardholders can earn up to $200 back in Nordstrom Notes, and Icons can earn up to $300 back.

With a Nordstrom membership, you can take part in special offers like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Clear the Rack Sale, and new products and brand launches before they’re available to everyone else.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an annual summer event that offers limited-time deals on new arrivals, everyday favorites, and exclusive beauty packages. Prices are drastically reduced on popular brands like Adidas, Birkenstock, and Hoka, as well as some higher-end labels like Max Mara and Lafayette 148.

This year’s Anniversary Sale runs from July 15 to August 4, but Nordy Club members get an early access pass to get in on the sale before the rest of the public. Nordstrom cardholders get priority on everything and have even earlier access.

Shoppers use the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to stock up on their summer wardrobes, prepare for back-to-school season, and purchase more expensive items like boots, winter coats, and jeans while they’re discounted and out of season.
