VR multiplayer FPS Strike Rush gets free ocean liner map and themed skins

Strike Rush from Skonec Entertainment was released in April this year and has already received a lot of praise. The game reminds me of Overwatch and Titanfall, but for VR, and in my opinion everything is better in VR. Strike Rush has received a ton of updates and is now getting its first new map: Luminus, which will feature an ocean liner on the high seas. Gameplay will involve players deciding which “Blitzer” they are playing. There are six Blitzers to choose from:

  • Sarah
  • Jake
  • Mark
  • Violet
  • Alisa
  • And Felix

Then there are Blizmons: AI companions that assist players. You can choose from three different types of Blitzmon. There are animal types, spider types, and drone types. And finally, there is the Colossus. The Colossus is a massive mech that you can pilot to turn the tide of battle when all hope seems lost.

The Shining Vessel update introduces the new ocean liner map and new themed skins for the speedsters Sarah, Violet and Jake. In the new map, Skonec promises multi-level action over large staircases under a stained glass ceiling, hiding behind slot machines and outsmarting opponents around the wing. And you’ll always catch breathtaking views of the sea.

Strike Rush features team multiplayer matches with two teams of four players each, as well as solo missions. You can also customize your Blitzers and Blitzmons to suit your style.

The Shining Vessel update will be released on July 11, 2024. It’s a free update, so if you already own the game, you’ll have something new to look forward to. If not, Strike Rush is available on the Meta Horizon store for $19.99, and you can purchase it here.

Strike Rush is playable on Meta Quest 3, Quest Pro and Quest 2.
