The Memory Café meets monthly

The Memory Cafe meets Thursday, July 11, at the Fountain Hills Community Center.

Free and open to the public, the Memory Cafe provides a social and informative space for people with memory loss and their care partners. Carers attend an education and support session while people with memory loss actively participate in a cognitive engagement program.

Sunset Kiwanis supports the community

The Sunset Kiwanis Club is looking for new members.

The club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is on Tuesday, July 16th.

The Sunset Kiwanis Club sponsors the FHHS Key Club, Blood Drive, Feed the Children and more.

Al-Anon holds regular meetings

Al-Anon family meetings are held every Saturday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the classroom building of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

The only requirement to participate is that a relative or friend has a drinking problem. Participants will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.

Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.

Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers

The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers to join its cause and ensure that the trail remains in good condition for all to enjoy.

To ensure that the garden remains accessible to everyone, it needs to be maintained by the community.

Take Off Pounds welcomes newcomers

Anyone seeking weight loss support and wanting to start or continue their weight loss journey is welcome to join the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
