If you’ve browsed Airbnb listings in Texas over the past few years, you’ll notice that one of the most popular and unique listings is the so-called “Bruno Steel House” in Ransom Canyon, just outside of Lubbock.
As you can see, this is one of the wildest houses you can stay in. Now it can be all yours if you get the right bang for your buck.

According to the Robb report Bruno began working on this housing concept in the 1970s when he was a professor at Texas Tech. He spent nearly 30 years creating the hybrid house/sculpture, but never completed the house before he passed away in 2008 at the age of 63.
His daughter sold the house in 2022 to Courtney and Blake Bartosh, who opened it to the public as a unique vacation home.

The house has just been renovated and now has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, new air conditioning and light wood-look vinyl floors.
Bruno’s personal items are also scattered throughout, including his welding chair and old photographs, but there is no information on whether these items will be included in the sale.
The asking price on this home that looks like a wacky spaceship was just slashed from $1,449,500 to $1,224,950, according to the June listing on Zillow, so if you’ve got that kind of money to spare, you can afford a livable work of art.
