Reports have emerged today that a popular contestant would give up her place on the reality TV competition after her partner was kicked off during the show’s film night.

Finally, DailyMail revealed the identity of the participant in question: it was Uma Jammeh, who had been selected by Reuben Collins, leaving Wil out.

Despite having secured a safe place in the reality love competition, Uma decided to listen to the voice of her heart, which persuaded her to pack her bags and go away with her partner.

The Sun had previously reported that the shocking turn of events had left even the bosses speechless.

An insider also told the outlet, “The villa is so crowded that people are sleeping on the couches.” Because of this, “producers decided it would be a good idea to cut the flab and announced another layoff shortly after filming night.”

The dramatic setting finally made way for the villa in Mallorca by throwing out Trey Norman and Ellie Jackson.

Why Uma Jammeh dropped out of Love Island UK season 11

Love Island bosses never expected Uma to leave the ship. “It rarely happens. And the person was one of the most popular in the villa,” the source previously said. “There are also more bombshells out there who they could have built a better connection with,” they added.

Still, the events of Movie Night provided audiences with moments worth munching on popcorn. Some members’ not-so-smooth maneuvers were shown on the giant screen, leaving several relationships hanging by a thread, including Uma and Wil’s.

Although Wil was heavily criticized for his behavior toward Uma, “she made her feelings for him clear by staying faithful to him during Casa Amor,” a source told DailyMail. Certain scenes from Casa Amor moved Uma to tears during Movie Night, as she witnessed Wil pursuing other potential lovers and insisting his guy was a “petite blonde.”

When Uma saw Wil’s behavior on screen, she said, “I’m so embarrassed, I really thought he was a different person…” She sharply criticized Wil’s statement about his “perfect type.”

“She made a huge commitment” by leaving the show. “It was an emotional moment shared by all of her fellow islanders, but it was what she wanted to do to stay true to herself. She knew in that final stage of the competition that she wouldn’t develop feelings for anyone else, and she couldn’t bear to see Wil leave alone,” the source concluded.

Uma’s exit from the show will not be broadcast on Monday night. She is reportedly set to leave the show on Tuesday night.
