In addition to The voicethe Maroon 5 frontman – who performed popular hits such as “This Love,” “Moves Like Jagger” and “Sugar” with the band over the weekend – is also preparing for the second half of the band’s Las Vegas tour, which begins September 27.

Maroon 5 kicked off their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at the Park MGM in March 2023. The shows ran until August of that year, and in December it was announced that the band would return to Sin City for 16 more shows starting in May 2024.

“I’m really excited to do it again, and honestly I never could have told you that before we started,” Levine previously told PEOPLE, admitting he was “skeptical” about the residency at first. “I had no idea what to expect. Of course, I went into it with an open mind and the right attitude, but I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it.”

After the first half of their Vegas tour ended on June 1, Maroon 5 took a short break before traveling to the East Coast for a select few dates this summer, hitting Michigan, Indiana, Toronto, North Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New York. They headlined music festivals in Milwaukee and Ottawa in early July.

The second half of their Las Vegas tour begins on September 27th and the band will play eight more shows before wrapping up on October 12th.

Before Levine returns to Vegas, he begins filming the 27th season of The voice alongside fellow trainer John Legend, Michael Bublé and newcomer Kelsea Ballerini. His return to the show, announced in early June, is his first comeback since his exit in season 16.

At the time of his exit, Levine was open about his decision to leave, writing a long note on Instagram in May 2019.

“About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to do this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back to the singers on stage. My first thanks goes to Mark. ❤️ We had no idea what we were doing or where it would lead,” he wrote. “After the first day of filming, I sat there in shock. I said to myself, ‘There is something magical here. Something is definitely happening.’ It turned out to be a life-changing experience that will stay with me forever.”

In his message, Levine also praised his best buddy Blake Shelton, with whom he has been training since the show premiered. “Our friendship is and will always be one for the books. Whatever this surreal experience was, I’m just glad I got to experience it with you. You are my brother for life,” he wrote to the country star.

In May 2023, Levine returned to The voice Stage with Maroon 5 to present their single “Middle Ground”.

NBC has not yet announced a premiere date for season 27, but season 26 is scheduled to air this fall.
