Cleveland Browns fans will love this huge ranking for 2024

On paper, the Cleveland Browns appear to be one of the best teams in the NFL in 2024.

Sure, the Browns have some questions, like how Deshaun Watson will be viewed as a quarterback after having some less-than-stellar seasons early in his tenure in Cleveland, and whether or not running back Nick Chubb will be back on the field this year.

But if you look at the Browns roster as a whole, you’ll likely be impressed by the abundance of talent the team has on both sides of the ball.

In his statistical predictions for the 2024 season, Mike Clay of ESPN sees Cleveland in fifth place in the entire NFL.

Clay predicts the Browns will once again have the best defense in the NFL, and while his numbers don’t predict a great season (he puts Cleveland’s offense at 16th), he believes the defense will be dominant enough to lead the Browns to ten wins.

This is understandable considering that Cleveland won eleven games last season despite having five different starting quarterbacks on the field.

The question is, will 10 wins be enough to get the Browns into the playoffs in 2024?

Last year, every AFC ballclub that won at least 10 games made the postseason. The Houston Texans won the AFC South with 10 straight wins and the Pittsburgh Steelers secured a wild card spot with their 10-7 record.

Of course, there have been seasons where ten wins didn’t get you very far, but normally if you win ten games you’re in the competition.

We will see if the Browns can achieve double-digit wins in the competitive AFC North division next season.
