Manisha Koirala recalls a famous photographer reprimanding her when she refused to wear a bikini: “Jo mitti pighalne se sharmati ho…”

However, in her long career, there have also been times when she didn’t get the respect she deserved from people in the industry. Manisha recently recalled the time early in her career when a photographer made a mean comment about her just because she refused to wear a bikini.

When Manisha Koirala rejected a big photographer’s suggestion to wear a bikini

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Manisha Koirala spoke about her experience as a Bollywood actress in the 90s. She recalled an incident when she refused to wear a bikini for a photoshoot. She said that this annoyed the photographer so much that he made a mean comment about her.

The Mann actress said that when she went for a photoshoot with her mother, a famous photographer said she had what it takes to be a star. However, after some time, he brought her a two-piece bikini and asked her to wear it. Manisha told him that she wears it when she goes to the beach or for swimming, but if she has to get into films this way, she doesn’t want to wear it.

He then said, “Jo mitti pighalne se sharmaati ho uski moorti kaise banaye (How do I make a statue out of clay that cannot be moulded?)” Manisha recalled her reaction to this statement and said that this was the mentality of some people in the industry at that time.
