Lord Baltimore Lions Club appoints new officers

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club held its induction meeting for new officers on June 19 at Mac’s Catering in Millville.

The annual event provides an opportunity for Lions members to celebrate the highlights of the service year and recognize new club leaders who were recruited for service in February and nominated for the spring club election.

Scott Brannan, President of the Lord Baltimore Lions, invited former District Governor Glenn Williams to preside over the ceremony. Williams congratulated the new officers on their willingness to serve in leadership positions and emphasized the important role each officer plays in the overall success of the club.

Janet Bauer, President of the Lord Baltimore Lions, gave a closing speech and spoke about the positive service activities of the year.

Following the ceremony, Lord Baltimore Lions and PDG member Karl Gude took the podium to announce the award winners. The Lord Baltimore Lion of the Year award went to Terry Elliott. Brannan thanked Elliott for his outstanding work as chair of the successful Swimming with the Otters fundraiser and for his dedication as part of the membership team and willingness to support many of the club’s fundraisers during the program year.

Brannan told members he is looking forward to the new service year and is excited about the opportunities for the club to expand current service offerings and find new ones to better serve people of all ages living in the club’s service area.

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club leaders for the 2024-25 service year are: President Scott Brannan, First Vice President Thrynn Kirby, Secretary Kathy Brannan, Treasurer PCS Janet Bauer, Lion Tamer Bob Wisgirda, Tail Twisters – Sheryl Lewis and Claire Noble, Membership – Terry Elliott, Club Services Chair Jack Bauer, Communications Chair John Monahan, LCIF Coordinator PDG Karl Gude, and Directors Paul Bolton, Karen Lucas, Anne Gude and Helene Kirby.
