Sir Ringo Starr celebrates his 84th birthday in style, surrounded by friends, family and a flood of well-wishes from all over the world.

So folks, The Beatles’ Beat Keeper Sir Ringo Starr turned 84 and he did so with all the calmness and love we expect from the legendary drummer!

On Sunday, Ringo celebrated the milestone with his wife Barbara Bach and a crowd of friends and family in Los Angeles at his annual Peace and Love birthday party.

Dressed in a white denim jacket and printed T-shirt, Ringo looked dapper and younger than ever, flashing his famous peace sign as he rang in a New Year.

The birthday boy, whose real name is Richard Starkey, was accompanied by his glamorous wife Barbara Bach, whom he has been married to for 43 years and who is best known for her role in the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me”.

The couple posed alongside Barbara’s sister Marjorie and her husband, Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh.

Joe Walsh, always the life of the party, joined Ringo on stage and thrilled the crowd by encouraging everyone to make double peace signs during the traditional “Peace and Love” chant.

It was a sight that brought back nostalgic memories for every Beatles fan of the Fab Four’s heyday in the 1960s.

But the love didn’t end there. Social media was full of congratulations for the popular drummer, including a touching message from his former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney.

Paul shared a photo on Instagram of himself and Ringo sitting front row at his daughter Stella’s Paris Fashion Week show in March.

“Happy birthday to Ringo and my dad! I hope Sir Richard Starkey has a fantastic day,” Paul wrote, bringing a smile to his fans’ faces.

Paul’s children also took part in the birthday campaign. Fashion designer Stella McCartney and photographer Mary McCartney both published tributes to their “Uncle Ringo”.

Mary’s post was particularly heartwarming, featuring a snap of Ringo pointing a remote control at the camera, with the caption: “Happy birthday Uncle Ringo x we love you! Peace and love always. I took this photo while you were watching Coronation Street x Mary.”

Meanwhile, Paul’s son James posted a selfie with Ringo and wrote: “Ringo plays the drums so eloquently. I’ve known him since I was a kid and he’s Uncle Ringo to me. Happy birthday @ringostarrmusic!”

And it wasn’t just the McCartney clan that showed their love. Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood congratulated his old friend on his birthday with a post: “✌️It’s Ringo’s birthday! Have a wonderful day, my dear friend xxx.”

John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono also shared a snap with Ringo and wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINGO! With love from Yoko, Sean and everyone at Studio One. We love you! ✌️♥️.”

The celebrations come on the heels of Ringo being honored with a Legacy Award at the Musicians Hall of Fame ceremony in Nashville last September.

As the first recipient of the Joe Chambers Musicians Legacy Award, Ringo’s contributions to music were once again recognized.

Ringo, Paul, John Lennon and George Harrison rose to meteoric fame as The Beatles in the 1960s and became the highest-selling music act of all time.

Although Ringo was the last to join the group in 1962, replacing Pete Best, he quickly established himself as the heart of the band.

Today he is the first great-grandfather of the Beatles and has three children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ringo and Barbara’s love story began in 1980 on the set of the film “Caveman” and they married the following year.

Since 2008, Ringo has made his birthday a global event, inviting fans around the world to think, say or post “Peace and Love” at 12:00 noon on July 7.

This year’s celebrations in Los Angeles included musical tributes from Diana Warren, Asa & Roy Orbison, Ben Harper, Ben Dickey, Steve Dudas and others.

But the celebrations were not limited to LA; Peace & Love events took place around the world, including in Australia, New York, Italy, Estonia, Mexico, Spain and, of course, Liverpool and London.

Even NASA got in on the action and helped spread the message beyond the Earth’s atmosphere!

In a heartfelt video message to his fans, Ringo said: “OK, Peace & Love, here we go again! Thank you for joining me on my birthday. I am so grateful to all of you for helping me promote Peace & Love. I would especially like to thank all the Peace & Love Ambassadors – we are in 34 countries!”

“Thank you for doing it – and I have to thank all the fans, Peace & Love – just join me in spirit, or on the bus or wherever you are on the 7th of the 7th, just go to Peace & Love at Noon your local time.”

After wrapping up a spring tour with his All Starr Band in April and releasing an EP called Crooked Boy, he shows no signs of slowing down. Last November, he also released his eighth book, Beats & Threads, in which he offers fans an inside look at the drum kits he used with the Beatles and his fashion evolution over the past 70 years.
