Song Joong Ki confirms good news is on the way: Vincenzo star and wife expecting second child | Web series

South Korean lead actor Song Joong Ki (known from “Vincenzo”) confirmed that he and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, are preparing for the arrival of a new addition to the family.

On Monday, July 8, 2024, the agency of the “Descendants of the Sun” star, HighZium Studio, happily announced: “Actor Song Joong Ki will be a father of two children.”

His agency also released a statement via South Korean Star News: “Song Joong-ki and his wife are expecting their second child. It is difficult to confirm the time of birth or the gender of the child as these are private matters.”

After their wedding in January 2023, Song and Saunders had their first son in June 2023. Song was previously married to his co-star from “Descendants of the Sun,” Song Hye Kyo.

The Reborn Rich actor has not revealed the gender of his second baby. He is known for keeping his private life largely out of the spotlight.

The good news for their favorite actor is already being celebrated with great joy on social media.

Song Joong Ki spoke about the arrival of his firstborn

In contrast, Song emotionally shared the good news with his fans the first time, posting a snapshot of his first child last year. “I finally met my baby here in Rome, my wife’s hometown. He is a healthy son. I am so grateful that both the baby and the mother are healthy and happy, and I am taking care of my family very happily,” he said at the time.

Expressing his deep joy, he added: “I think this is the most precious gift my wife and I have received. Our biggest dream was to have a happy family for the rest of our lives. I think this beautiful day is thanks to the support of many people. Thank you very much.”

The popular actor also spoke about what it’s like to become a parent and open his heart to his first child in a multicultural household. “I can’t believe I became a father… I speak to him in Korean, you know, my English isn’t that good. My wife and I have also talked about it. We’ll figure out how the three of us will communicate,” Koreaboo reported.
