each piece in the THIRST series has its own name and its own background story

Each piece in the collection is approximately 250 mm high and has a base diameter of 140 mm. The series includes two editions: THIRST 2.0 (2024) and THIRST 1.0 (2023), each consisting of 10 individual pieces by Maarja Mäemets. Each object has a name and its own backstory, such as XENA, symbolizing darkness and strength; CHARIOT, representing determination and drive; RICO, embodying a mindset of abundance; IVY, a muse of devotion and loyalty; JUICY, a charmer who attracts like pure honey; and DOLLY, a gentle presence with hidden strength. These watering cans are the result of a collaboration between the Estonian glass artist and the glassblowers Aleksandra and Martin Ehrensvärd from the Stockholm Glasbruk studio in Sweden.
