Also, double check that you haven’t been muted by mistake.

On consoles, the mute buttons are often located on the controller itself. On PC, look for a mute button in the game or on your headset.

Restart your device

Sometimes a good old-fashioned reboot is the answer. This can clear up any temporary glitches that might be causing the problem.

Check your internet connection

A weak or unstable connection can interfere with voice chat. A speed test can help determine if your internet is causing the problem.

Update Modern Warfare 3 to the latest version

It is strongly recommended to check if you have the latest patch installed or if the update download is completely finished.

If an update is pending, restart the game and wait for the installation to complete successfully.

Verify the integrity of the game files

Corrupted game files can cause various problems. Try to verify the integrity of your game files through your gaming platform’s launcher.

Make sure you are not subject to enforcement of disruptive behavior regulations

Disruptive behavior enforcement is part of the Call of Duty Code of Conduct update and prohibits actions such as bullying or harassment.

Players with open mics will be banned from public voice channels if they speak up in violation of the Code of Conduct. The ban can last from 48 hours to over two weeks, depending on the severity of the violation.

If you are banned for minor reasons or do not remember toxic behavior, you can appeal through the game’s official support page and social channels, including the Activision Support for X.
