“I don’t want you to hurt me, but I don’t want you to hurt me…” Inspire Reels, singer Aoora tries it in a viral video

Social media users keep coming up with new trends for their filmy lives. Months after people enjoyed dancing to film songs like ‘Sooseki’ from Pushpa 2, ‘Illuminati’ from Aavesham and ‘Gulabi Sadi’, they have joined a new Instagram trend. They have come into the space to try something new – not dancing, just playback. Now, people are creating film sequences based on a popular dialogue, said to be from a Rajasthan-based influencer named Anju Yadav.

The new Instagram trend involves lip-syncing Hindi words, inspired by a popular phrase related to ignoring silly conversations or engaging in useful conversations. The video was all about opening up and breaking the silence when things are directed at you.

The video captures these words: “Pehle mein ek kaan se sunkar dusre se nikaal det thi, toh mujhe sab log aake suna jaate the. Lekin mein dono kaano se sunti hu aur barrabar muh se nikaal thi hu. Majaal hai ki koi mere muh b lag jaaye (Initially, I listened with one ear and let go with the other, but people kept shouting at me. Now I listen with both ears and open my mouth to reply.)”

In the many videos created to accompany these trending lines, you can see people lip-syncing along with amazing facial expressions. There are thousands of videos on Instagram of users joining in on this trend and recreating these words in their own style.

Korean singer Aoora and actress Gauahar Khan join the reel trend

Like many other netizens, Korean singer Aoora has also created a video on the subject. For the video, he identified himself as a married Punjabi aunty (Punjabi ajumma). He wore a scarf like a ghoonghat and moved his lips to the trending words in his recent Instagram video. His video is currently going viral on the internet and had 1.4 million views as of July 8.

Even actress Gauahar Khan recreated this video and shared it on Instagram. She agreed with the words and called it a “true story”.
