Jade knows that the love you take is equal to the love you give

Meet Jade, a delicate, gentle beauty who came to ARK when her previous owner had to give her up due to an illness in the family.

Jade was born around 2013 and came to the shelter in May of last year with Ruby, her roommate and best friend, who we also believe is Jade’s sister. Jade is rather shy in her first encounters with people, but over time she becomes very outgoing and even oddly brash in her attempts to get attention and affection. Her search for someone who will be kind to her and return the love she wants to show people is in such contrast to her initial shyness that it may seem out of character at first, but in fact it is a big part of Jade’s charm.

Jade is housed at ARK’s animal shelter in western Japan, waiting day after day for someone to come and give her a real home. The hours drag on and each day passes like the next, so perhaps it’s no wonder her attempts to get attention are so desperate it could break your heart.
