Ronan Keating’s son Jack Keating reveals his famous father’s identity as he cuddles up to Gemma Owen

Ronan Keating’s son Jack reveals the identity of his famous father while cuddling up to Gemma Owen on Sunday night’s Love Island.

The 23-year-old – one of six new boys trying to seduce the girls at Casa Amor – told the 19-year-old daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, 42, how important family life is to him.

Gemma and Jack are having a relaxed chat by the pool in the show’s partner villa when Jack tells the dressage rider: “My mum and my little sister are crazy about show jumping and stuff. I know you’re crazy about it too.”

The rider replies: “Oh, ok, oh wow! So your mother is a show jumper? And what does your father do?”

Social media marketer Jack – the eldest of Keating’s three children with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, 48, whom the singer divorced in 2015 – replies: “He’s a singer.”

When Gemma curiously asks: “A famous singer?” Jack says: “Yes, that’s him. Do you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.”

Gemma adds: “So are you really family orientated?” – to which Jack replies: “I’m very family orientated. That would definitely be something I would look for in a girl. I have a big, crazy family at home.”

In Sunday’s episode of the ITV2 dating show, the original group of boys also learn that the girls are hiding out in Casa Amor – before they start getting to know the six new girls who have moved into the main villa.

Among them is 22-year-old business owner Summer Botwe, who admitted that she has her eye on Dami Hope.

Microbiologist Dami, 26, says: “These girls are phenomenal, they are beautiful. Literally, there is no joking about it. I’m not going to lie… I think we are in trouble.”

Rugby player Jacques O’Neill, 23, adds of the new arrivals: “Santa Claus delivered, believe me… he brought every single present I wanted.”

The other newest girls are flight attendant Cheyanne Kerr, 22, nightclub manager Jazmine Nicol, 21, graphic designer and ring girl Coco Lodge, 27, as well as 23-year-old make-up artist Mollie Salmon and youth worker Chyna Mills.

Love Island airs weekdays and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub, with episodes available on BritBox the following morning.

The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
